If you do 3-2-1 method. for the two hours the ribs are wrapped in foil, you're essentially cooking the ribs in a sealed foil container.  The particular smoker is out of play for two hours, may as well put them in the kitchen oven.
The true test will be the taste, tenderness, moistness, texture, flavor imparted solely from the atmosphere inside each smoker for the entire cook.

I was going to make a poll but decided to just post the pics here, let y'all chime in and then I'll divulge what's what!

Rib #1 Green Toothpick

Rib #2 Red Toothpick

Rib #3 Yellow Toothpick

Rib #4 Orange Toothpick

Rib Lineup - From Left To Right : 1-4 (green, red, yellow, orange)

So, let's hear it! After we get some guesses I'll post some more pics and finally......the results!

Wow, they all look great.  1 & 2 look similar, 3 & 4 each have unique characteristics.
Only having experience doing ribs on the keg I would have to guess that # 4 is the keg, mine usually, but not always,  have the dark appearance those have with not much smoke ring.
#3 has the pink look through, would guess the tenderquick treatment done in the Smokin-it, but then again Biggs ribs on the KBQ are pink through

#1 & #2 both look incredible, my guess would be that 1 is the kbq and 2 is the traeger

I'm probably wrong on all accounts, LOL, I need to taste them.  As in I REALLY NEED TO TASTE THEM!!   :P :P :P

As much as I would love to demolish all four and lick those bones clean as a whistle.....................................

if I had to only pick one...it would have to be the yellow toothpick rib

Well, this thread is gaining about as much traction as a bald tire ;D

In the interest of cutting to the chase, here's the color code breakdown from left to right :

Green = KBQ
Red = Keg
Yellow = Traeger
Orange = Smokin-It

I actually goofed (again) on the freakin' SI Ribs. I had meant to give them the TQ treatment but didn't. I watched Steph put the rub straight on'em and didn't think twice.

Here they are after the rub

Here they are on their respective cookers, some of the pics really are blurry thanks to my camera operator :P

KBQ

Keg

Traeger

Smokin-It

I had wanted y'all to pick the one you thought looked best as opposed to label which was which but that's okay. That was fun too! I had you mostly fooled :)

As for what we liked best. In person, I thought the KBQ looked the best uncut, followed by the Traeger, then the Keg and lastly the SI. Cut I went with Traeger, KBQ, Keg, SI (forgot the dang TQ or this would've been different I bet)

Taste and tenderness went in this order :
My results - KBQ, Traeger, Keg, SI
Steph's Results - KBQ, Keg, Traeger, SI
Our Son - Keg, KBQ, Traeger, SI

So in THIS particular round, the KBQ won and the Keg did better than it did the last time I did a rib test on it (it was last and the SI won out over the Traeger and Keg).

Steph nor our Son had any idea which was which and tasted them eyes closed, never knowing which one they were eating. I tasted them with my eyes open but had forgotten which color (toothpick) was which so that somewhat helped the bias.

In closing, I will say that I AM a rib wrapper. I prefer ribs wrapped AND sauced with my homemade sauce but this test was meant to be as basic as could be. I'll also add that I didn't care for the rub put on these but Steph likes it so she got it! It's Rendezvous Rub and it's not my cup of tea AT ALL.

Thanks for being part of the fun, until next time!
