Glad ya made it here! I have been known to cause people to spend money. Get used to that around here, it happens a lot! I had no idea when I joined here that I'd be buying more grills/smokers. Silly me! Since joining here I have bought 3, sold 2, lol.

You'll find this forum to be laid back, lots of discussion and lots of help. Having been on multiple forums over the years, I can say that you won't find a better group of men and women than right here ;)

With that said, Tee, I assume the check's in the mail? :) :P

Looking forward to that KBQ in action once you get it! I want you to save some brisket from that SI cook you've got coming up, just save some of the point and flat in a foodsaver bag. If you don't have a foodsaver yet, go ahead and bite that bullet too, because sooner or later you're going to get it anyway, lol. So, save some of the SI brisket. I've given you a few tips on how to make it great. Once the KBQ comes in, cook a brisket on it. Keep it around 9-10 pounds so you're not looking after it ALL day. Once it's done (the KBQ one), wrap it in foil and let it rest in a towel lined cooler for an hour or so. While that's happening, take that SI brisket out of the freezer and plop it into some not quite boiling water to let it thaw out and heat up in the bag while waiting on the KBQ brisket. Slice up some KBQ and compare it with the SI brisket. Keep in mind brisket freezes VERY well and I say it may even be better reheated than fresh! Pork doesn't hold up nearly as well in my opinion. At any rate, compare those 2 and you'll SEE and taste a measurable difference. It's shocking to put it mildly.

So in closing, Welcome. Enjoy and Tee, just send the usual amount :)
A revolving door of cookers and smokers. Some are keepers, some are here today, gone tomorrow!
