hi all,
hoping to pick up a rec tec mini (my price range & good size for me and my wife) wife got interested from seeing the treager info-mercial so i might get the go ahead on it. seems like the rec tec is superior to the treager in most peoples opinion. looking forward to getting into some smokin and grilling.

Welcome from North Carolina  ;D

Good cooking equipment is wonderful to have and use but when it comes right down to the reality, it is the cook who has the most influence on producing great groceries.  Glad you've joined us -- here's my usual contribution to all those who ponder pellets:

Welcome!

Any pellet grill will "work". And - pick the best you can to get into pellet grilling. Then after a year or two - you will likely want to upgrade. See Hub's link for a LOT of quality information about pellet grilling, and feel free to ask as many questions as you like. Most of us own a number of different cookers - and NONE of us have a "chef's attitude" :D...

So, feel at home, dig in and- have fun...that is a rule! ;D ;)

Welcome from So-Cal.

The Traeger will treat you right. The Rec Tec will treat you better. The Rec Tec was designed to be a better Traeger with ss in all the important places and a great controller. Whatever you get you will be happy.
