New Old Guy from Illinois
« Reply #-1 on: November 19, 2016, 10:55:59 AM »
Howdy All, just moved from Arkansas to Illinois to get closer to all my kids and Grandkids.

I have been smokin all kind of critters in the "Natural State" using an old weber kettle grill, homemade uds, and masterbuilt pro vertical smoker.

I found this forum while looking and researching info on a pellet grill and have been following Tom Horsemans video's on mods and cooking with the Rec Tec. Thanks Tom :) Long story longer...I just need to decide to go with the Big-un or the Mini.

Anywho, any suggestions, or words of wisdom are always welcome.

Take care,
PaPaGrizz

Go big on the Rec Tec, you have the real estate when you need it. The pellet consumption on the Rec Tec is excellent, it is not a fuel hog.............

Welcome from Northern Illinois.  Go with the bigger pellet grill.  No one ever said, "I wish I would have gotten the smaller grill", but plenty of people wished they'd have gotten the bigger one.
