PENZEYS HATES IT'S CUSTOMERS

We can't leave this up for long. Because try as we may to talk about "news" that affects us as outdoor cooks....( And THAT should NEVER need to be "political") I was shocked to read this....Because I buy a few things from Penzy's...Or at least I used to. NOT ANY MORE for me!

I felt is it appropriate that you know when companies - who should stick to what they get paid for - stick their nose where they should not.

Wow! What were they thinking? Actually that's a rhetorical question because Penzey's told us what they were thinking. But to possibly lose roughly 50% of their customers is stupidity!

I saw that the other day. Just crazy stupid and arrogant. I have purchased from them in the past, both web and a store they have here in Minnesota. But not anymore. I really hate when companies do this crap. Also will not be using Grubhub anymore when on the road after what their idiot CEO said.

Yep, I saw that the other day and sent Bill (Penzeys owner) an email asking what on earth he was thinking. STUPID business move. As a business... sell spices and stay neutral.

YOU folks hit the nail on the head...

As an American - I respect everyone's right to their opinion. As an LTBBQ member, I carry that philosophy as a part of the Golden Rule. WE as a body operate this place with the clear understanding that we receive the level of respect and trust that we are willing to extend to others.

Penzey's has made - what I estimate - to be a fatal mistake.

In my e-mail to   bill.penzey@penzeys.com  ( and I hope all of us send him a scathing note.. ) I pointed out to Mr. Penzey that his use of his company for a political platform was exactly what ALL Americans of ALL political persuasions are sick of.

Shame...I used to buy from them, and had some respect for them. No more. Never again. For clarity - I would feel exactly the same if his political opinion been for the opposite party. Respect must be mutual, and neutrality in business is critical.

Haven't purchased from Penzy's for several years because I knew what Bill Penzy stands for. it's a shame since he does make some great products. But so does Big Dicks if your sick of Bill Penzy check Big Dicks at rubsandmore.com

We should all understand that most large companies lean heavily one way or the other in politics.  That's their right, just as it's our right to purchase or shop where we choose. But it is pure idiosy to polarize half of your customer-base for the sake of preaching personal beliefs. I'm sure this will cost him dearly.
