A few weeks ago, I discovered that Dave lived in my neighborhood. So, the Friday before Thanksgiving, we met for lunch at a
local BBQ joint.
(
Dave's the good looking guy in the black t-shirt, I'm the ugly mug, but with hair ! ! ))
We talked a while about how he started his company and developed the Slow n Sear and now the Drip n Griddle. What a great story about how, if you can come up with new and innovative idea, and really work at it, you can turn it into gold.
The conversation turned the SCA. I've followed a little of the threads about Steak Cook Offs, but hadn't done any real research on it. Seems like it could be a fun contest.
All I'd need to bring is my Weber 26er, my SnS, and a couple of my Grill Grates . . . and they provide the steaks ! !
