Great set up!!  That is one well-taken care of grill-- you couldn't ask for a better prior-owner! :)

Thanks, I came to the same conclusion which is why I bought it.  My first use will be on Saturday, and I will season a whole bunch of cast iron to burn off the cleaner Cliff used, then I plan to smoke some beef short ribs.  I will premarinate with sea salt and powdered garlic, then smoke for 3 hours, then cook at 245 for two, then pour in some smoked beer into the pan and grate setup I am using and cover for another hour to braise/steam at the same 245F.

Thanks Cliff.

It's not quite as pretty as when it was new, but it sure runs like it was new!

Truth be told, if it weren't for wanting the extra head room in the new model (which will be be nice for the large cooks I do a couple times per year, smoking sausages, etc.), I would NOT have even entertained selling that grill.

But hey, this way we have a new MAK family member! ;)
