Several weeks ago I fell and overturned my left ankle. The initial X-rays showed that I hadn't broken anything, though at the time I thought I had crushed my ankle. I finally had an MRI on my left ankle yesterday. We met with my doctor this morning and he gave me the bad news. I have completely torn the peroneus brevis and the peroneus longus tendons in half. I am waiting for a surgery date now. The peroneus longus will not be repaired. The peroneus brevis MUST be repaired. The latter tendon is the one that stabilizes the ankle. Without this tendon I could conceivably break the ankle with the slightest wrong step. I don’t want or need that.
Keep your fingers crossed that this all works out.
We were supposed to be driving to DFW area in early April for my wife to attend a four stop needlework shop-hop. I had planned to meet up with sliding_billy on our way to Dallas. After the shop-hop, we were going to work our way to Houston and spend some time with IR2dum. Big plans!! Not going to happen till later. I was looking forward to some really good eats while we were in TEXAS. I guess I will have to sip a little Tito's vodka here at home.
