Hello everyone, glad to be on the forum and looking forward to learning more about the great hobby of BBQ! I am part of a few other forums as well and they really help when trying to get ideas, read reviews, share stories, etc. Lot's of great folk out there!
Started with a Smoke Hollow vertical propane smoker about 3-4 yrs ago and then upgraded to a Rec-Tec 680 with about all the accessories I could get.
We moved to Michigan last September and I decided not to bring my RT and sold it. Since then been looking for what I'm going to get next and I've poured through about every resource (including how I found this site!).
So I'm about 99% sure I'm going to pull the trigger soon on a Mak 2 Star. Seems like a great versatile piece of equipment and hopefully helps me get to the next level of BBQ cooking. Certainly not cheap, but I finally want to upgrade to something that I can enjoy for years and years. The fact the upgrades typically retro fit is also a big plus.
Looking forward to learning my way around here and increasing my knowledge even more!
