Thermapen Battery Life
« Reply #-1 on: June 12, 2019, 07:08:46 PM »
I have lost count on how long that I have had my Thermapen, but it has to be at least 7-8 years.  I have been more than happy with its performance, but I still have the original battery.  This seems like a long life for any battery, but I wondered what others are experiencing.  Does anyone know what to expect with normal battery life?

I'm still on my original battery too. Must be 4-5 years so far

I think they advertise 3000 hours.

I've changed my battery already.  Seems I forgot to tell Deb to close it after she uses it.

I have had mine about 8 years and 1 battery changed.  Still works good but replaced battery because the reading would blink like a low battery.  Still does iot with the new one though

I replaced a battery after about 5 years.

Kind of off topic, but my son bent the probe once and it started giving me erratic readings. Sent it back to Thermoworks and they refurbished it for like $35.

Mine started acting weird. Sent it back and the refurbed the whole thing for no charge and I was way out of warranty. And that is why I tell everyone to buy from them
