Have you ever smoked hot dogs?   I mean low and slow for 1.5 hrs or so?   Well, I did and wow they were great!

I was smoking a couple of pork loins for Kimmie and her friends for Mondays lunch so I thought I would toss on some hot dogs and Coneuh
sausage for lunch Sunday.

They were so good and no dry like you would think.  Pump and juicy

Smoked them on the Rec-Tec for 1.5 hrs at 235 with an A-Maze-N smoke tray with hickory/apple mix

Ate them up before I remembered to get anymore pictures

Looks good!  I have put hot dogs and Conecuh on the smoker to have as snacks while doing a smoke.  I haven't done it with the Sams Club dogs yet because I've been so wrapped up in this porch project.

I never have.
We typically have hot dogs when we don't have time for anything else.  :D :D

I generally hate resurrecting older threads but (s)low smoking dawgs, (some) sausages, and brats are all good eats.  IME/O the best way to improve the humble dawg is to pass it over a coal/wood fire.  Even my grill guard dog approves.
