Really, Is Bradley Smokers office right?
« Reply #-1 on: September 04, 2020, 10:11:38 AM »
I got this today in an email.  I believe there off the mark, what y'all think??

Or are they just saying this because their smoker can't produce a ring?

BS marketing of their own product by pretending that it (lack of smoke ring) is intentional and beneficial.

I'll keep going with the smoke ring on my food. You gotta go sometime! Might as well enjoy the time we have.

I'm a bit confused about what they are trying to convey. Are they contending nitric oxide is a by product of a smoke ring and is bad for a person's body? I thought the human body produced nitric oxide, & that it was beneficial. I'm not a chemist or a scholar on the subject.

I know the Bradley smoker is not highly regarded on this forum, & I understand some of the reasoning why it is held in disdain.
It can be a pain in the butt, and the fuel is a tad expensive.
Having said that, some of the best ribs, butts, briskets, etc. I ever smoked came off my Bradley.
I very seldom use it now for anything except cold smoking, but it has served me well over the years.
Yes, I can get a smoke ring on my other smokers that I can't get on the Bradley, but the smoke ring doesn't make it taste any better.
Not trying to convert anyone. I know what a lot of you think of it. ;D ;D

My understanding, after so much reading is that the smoke ring is "eye candy", without any significant flavor profile.   Sure, the uninitiated may think it's a big deal, but they are also the ones who think the very best ribs are falling apart when you eat them.
