Marley da moose crossed the rainbow Bridge.
« Reply #-1 on: October 13, 2020, 09:26:13 PM »
My dear friend Marley was 14 years old.  He started having seizures.  We took him to the vet and ran every test they had.  It came down to something wrong with his brain.  We put him on anti seizure meds but he lost his personality.  He was having a hard time walking.  The last two weeks were really hard on him.  We had the vet come to the house to relieve him of his pain.  It was very, very sad.  Lots of tears.  I liked him more than my kids.  I miss him a lot.

we will meet again my friend.  I promise.

Sparky - I feel for you. There are many reasons that dogs are called "Man's best friend".... And, losing a long time companion is...in some ways worse than the loss of a human. Humans - we can talk with and often say our goodbyes. Our dogs, we talk to - and hope, believe they understand us.They are so honest. No hidden agendas and only want to be with us.

And - while you can never replace him....I can say that the best thing you can do for yourself....is go get a pup.  I know...I know....I resisted for about 6 months after losing Ellie Mae. But having these 2 boxer pups has been like a real morale boost. They are like what you would get when you cross monkeys with clowns. The fun is back......

Hang in there buddy. My best to the Mrs.

Sparky, I am so sorry to hear this.

It's a rough time in life when the end comes to a very good friend and or fur baby.    The memories you have of him will be with you forever and that is worth everything.

Mollee has filled the hole that our other dog (Charger) had left but the memories are still there and ones I cherish.

You will meet him again one day my friend,

Peace

My heart goes out to you.
V & I are going through a similar situation with our 13 year old puppy, Sake.
She has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure, & it is just a matter of time now.
Breaks my heart. We lost her twin sister, Yoko, three years ago. (We think someone poisoned her.)
Still haven't gotten over losing her.
I won't be getting another pet. I would expect it to live up to the ones I lost, & that would be impossible.
I have always had a greater affection for animals than for people.

Hey Gus, very sorry to hear about your loss.  I lost my little buddy a little over two years ago.  It was tough, especially having to actually make the decision.  But it sounds like you made the best decision that you could.

Take care !

Sorry to hear about your loss.  It is unfair that all dogs have such a short life when others have longer ones.  Dogs are your best friends as you knowl
