This year thanksgiving
« Reply #-1 on: November 24, 2020, 12:36:25 PM »

Kimmie's school is way out of control with covid so we are staying home away from Family. Mom is 87 her mom is 82 so best thing is to stay home and just be safe.

So instead of the normal turkey and fixens we are doing hot Italian sausage, peppers, onions and spuds!

I mean the day is strange anyway so we might as well have a fire, a few cold beers and good food for just the two of us!

Pictures Friday!

Hope Y'all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving.

We always think of the food - and it IS MY favorite meal of the year....

But - really - it should be about our being grateful, and thankful for the people in our lives. May you and yours be safe and may we all be thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving

If I were a sensitive guy like tee or Gus I would say something equally gracious but to me it's all about TURKEY, DRESSING, and GRAVY!

But if there was a worldwide turkey recall or shortage (not likely with as many turkeys as I see every time I turn on the TV), I'd be right there with you, Tommy - lovin' some Italian sausage, peppers, and onions.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion

Like Tommy and Kimmie, Jan and I will be spending Thanksgiving together.  My brother who normally comes to our house is 74 and has COPD.  While none of us have reason to believe we have been exposed to the virus, it simply is not worth the risk.  Conversely, I had reason to be out last night and passed by one of our neighbor's house.  There were 10 cars parked in the front yard.

Maureen and I will be spending Thanksgiving together.  We have been invited to a "family Zoom" meeting on Thursday.  An appropriate way to spend the day considering all the crapola that is going on.

So here is our 2020 Thanksgiving meal it was wonderful!

This years Thanksgiving we decided to go completey different.
Since this year has been so crazy and my wifes school has been a hot spot for this covid stuff we said we would stay away from everyone and we would have sausage, peppers and onions then mix in corn and potatos.

I grilled the sausage, corn and potatoes then added onion and peppers (red, yellow, green and orange) mixed in apple beer and let it go till the veggies were nice and done.

Then we ended the night with a fire and a few beers!
