Howdy from Illinois!
« Reply #-1 on: January 23, 2013, 02:51:23 PM »
Hi everyone!
I just learned about LTBBQ yesterday when pappymn asked me to look into it. I'm glad I did! It looks like you guys have a great place here. I love the fact no one ridicules you for cooking on any certain type of cooker. I love my gasser as much as my pellet pooper and down to my weber kettle. I look forward to sharing info and pics with all of you!
For those that don't know me..my name is John but i go by chili head on the forums i frequent. I'm from east central Illinois, I love spicy food and hot peppers, and I love to cook outside!

Chili - you sound like the prototype of the perfect LTBBQ'er. We have nothing against any type of equipment, and we don't look down our noses at folks with more or less experience than ourselves - or - zero experience. Heck, the fun in this is the sharing of food idead, recipes, and recommendations.

As you get more familiar with us you will find that we have nationally recognized authors, and food personalities, top judges from KCBS...and the rest of us.... ;D
But, we are all the same. We love to cook outdoors, and truly believe the credo for the site:

BBQ is neither verb or noun. It is an experience, and best when shared with friends.

Glad you decided to come on over. Chili does some great cooks, as you can see he already has a built in fan base.
I thought he might fit in here with the rest of the lunatics.
