Hot Tamales and Griddled Burritos
« Reply #-1 on: February 22, 2024, 07:48:11 PM »

Heated up some tamales I picked up at Costco and made some I guess I'll call them burritos that I griddled. They were filled with refried beans, Spanish rice, chili. diced onions and cheddar cheese. There may be a different name for them since they are griddled but I will say they tasted pretty darn good.

No picture of this inside.

The tamales were from Costco and not bad but no gravy like the good 'ol Manuel's.

When it was time to eat the wife went to the pantry and was looking for Praltines. Lol..... The Premium Saltine crackers. When my oldest daughter was little she called Premium crackers "Praltines". The name kind of stuck with us.

Anybody else eat tamales with crackers?

Dipped the burrito in sour cream and Hot sauce.

Cajunate, those burritos reminded me of a kicked up version of Taco Bell's chili cheese burrito. Those and crispy tacos are the only things I will eat at Taco Bell. I always embellish them with the fire sauce.

I do eat tamales with chili and a lot of saltines. Delicious. That is always our Christmas Eve meal.
