I think my wife said she was going to melt out here today while we were out getting groceries.

Actually that 39% is not humid. It's a really dry heat. My wife keeps complaining that her nostrils are so dry they feel like they are cracking. Lol! :o

It was 106 degrees in New Braunfels, TX today. Dry heat.

Grilled a steak today. The plate which was sitting in the sun, was so hot that it burned the tips of my fingers.

OUCH!  The weather station for the temp I posted is down the road about 3 miles at the local college. So pretty much its dead on for where I'm at. Luckily there is no humidity today. Nothing worse than just standing in the shade sweating buckets, as they say around here.

Thats about normal around here for this time of year. It really doesn't get hot till about 110! In 2009, we played at the AFA Fastpitch Nationals in Blue Springs, Misery; the acutal temprature was 113 and the on field temp was around 122!!!! They had several umpires fall out due to the heat and wearing all the protective gear. We ended up 47th out of 184 teams.....coach was happy, happy, happy! I also lost several pounds!!!
Yoder 1320, 3- VUDS's and a couple of Wally World  grills. Working on more all the time.

Funny you should mention the softball playing temp on the field. I just had a training class for work where the instructor was telling us about how he was umpiring a game where the field temp was 122. He said the whole infield would actually wait on the grass till right before any pitch because they could feel the beat thru their cleats. :o

Sounds like the same game. I added a 4' shop to the team trailer and a generator. We had it running whenever the girls were out. A team from Minnesota followed our games throughout pool play. Their coach came over to me and said "I have a $100.00, if you'll let us use the fan too." I kinda laughed and said "Sure, I don't know why not, You always follow us and as long as you or some of your parents will help me load it." Wrong thing to say.... he actually handed me $120 and told me their parents passed the hat! They got the use of the fan..... and we had a great coaches meeting at a local steak house!!!!!!!
