So, I've been working from home 3 of 4 days this week, while my car was in the shop. The weather forecast called for 6-8 inches of snow, so most folks decided to work from home today. I decided I should probably come into the office. That must have been good karma.
I took my buddy down the the closest butcher shop (Zink's in Franklin, OH) so that he could pick up a whole brisket to cook this weekend (and a good looking brisket it is). While we were there I happened to ask if they had any tri-tips. The only had frozen, but they pulled a giant one out of the back to show me. I've been paying $6.99/lb for tri-tip where I've been getting it. Zink's charged $3.99/lb. Looks like I found a new place to get tri-tip, assuming this one turns out OK. I was going to freeze this one anyway.
