Well after 3 weeks I finished the 18 butts for the church fund raiser, man I'm worn out.




Final count over $6000 was raised!!!

DId you discover anything about cooking Boston Butts in the SRG from the repetition?

Yes I did, an 8 lb to  9 lb butt will take 4 hrs but once you hit the 10 lb mark that time jumps to 5 or 6 hrs easy.
 Also I found moving the chamber around 1/8 turn at a time keeps the wood pellets smokinh longer.  I move the chamber with the basket lift tool works great.  This should not be tried by just anyone

Those butts have a nice deep color to em Tommy.  Cooking 18 butts is a ton of work, bet ya slept good last night!!
