Newbie from Washington State!
« Reply #-1 on: January 31, 2014, 02:33:03 AM »
Hello Everyone,
I am new here and new to the whole BBQ/grilling/smoking addiction!  Haha! I ordered a Charbroil SRG Big Easy after saying that I was going to learn how to smoke food. I am a foody, I love to cook in the kitchen but I feel lost when it comes to grilling outside. I can't ever tell when the meats are done or the fire was ready. So with my propane tank rolling around in the back seat  ??? , pretty sure that's not ok, I hooked it up to my new toy and I ve started to practice! I made ribs my first night, a turkey my 2nd night and I currently have 20lbs of pork butt brining for pulled pork for a Super Bowl party. I've created a Tommy ring to infuse more smoke, I've stocked up with a multitude of different wood chips and wood pellet flavors and I'm ready to learn from everyone!

Go Seahawks!

Welcome from Idaho!

Sounds like you have a plan Renee - best of luck on the Super Bowl party; just be sure you start the butt plenty early; maybe the day before and then reheat on the day of the party - nothing worse than a house full of football fans drooling for pulled pork!
