Costs...
Pig 75
Food 250
Slaughter 72
Butchering 200

So in about 600 for 228 lbs hanging weight

Heres the slaughter, really, that was worth the 72 dollars from the mobile butcher

Our friend Pat raised it for us.If I had a place I could do it,could cut costs in half, just like butchering a giant rabbit.
Feel free to share my pictorials anywhere you like.Could mention from Spuds if you remember.

Sounds like what we used to call a cross-eyed mohel ( "moyle")...... ;) ;D

Wow, yeah, having a mobile butcher come out and do the hard work would definitely be worth some extra $!  If we ever do "big" animals, we're definitely looking into that!!

Mobile butcher truck, I love it. It would be going steady around here during moose season.

Nothing better than home grown pork, especially if you don't have to butcher it.

Really was,ran the whole shebang with what looked like a 4-5 thousand watt quiet blue Yamaha genny. He arrived at 9am,was out 90 minutes later and slaughtered three pigs. There were already three pigs inside the box.Very slick, and dang did they know their jobs, they raced through it.In one pic the fella is loading skin and guts into blue barrel, that had a hoist on it too.

They went so fast there was no time to get any of the parts,I just would have been in their way.
Nice of em letting me takes pics.Told em I would be posting them,no problem.Very nice guys.

Pats puppy Alice, she had to watch too.Rottie/GSD? mix? That is the sweetest, smartest puppy ever! Almost kidnapped her!
