« Reply #-1 on: January 26, 2016, 04:53:08 PM »
Been wondering how member akruckus, from Philly, faired in the snow storm. I haven't seen him in here. If you're out there report in AK! Don

I should have looked first, just saw you were in here today. Give us a report on how you coped with all the snow! Don

I'm here.  We got at least 2 feet of snow, but I can't give you an exact amount.  Snow drifts were 4-5 feet in some spots, yet in other areas I could see grass showing.  The wind was crazy, not enough to verify as a true blizzard, but some nasty gusts.  parts of NJ were experiencing gusts over 70mph.  No power loss which was awesome, however the 7 trips outside to shovel took its toll.  In addition to having to do some elderly neighbors driveways, plus doing shoveling for our work building.  Snow blower you ask? We have one, its ecofriendly, almost 30 years old, and with time he can remove any amount of snow..... its me! :P

Looking forward to being able to relax this weekend and take in the Philly Autoshow (I will be able to see the Pope mobile Fiat on display).

I do have a garlic "crack" bread recipe to share in the next day or so when I get a chance to add it with some future changes to make.

Glad to hear you're doing well, A!   Yeah--- the garlic crack bread sounds great, we need to see what kind of fuel this snowblower of yours runs on!

Now everyone can see what makes Philly fans tough! All that snow to deal with :D :D :D :D :D

I feel you pain - we had about 1-1/2 feet here and there is no such thing as a snow blower - or snow plow for that matter. Just a few of us on the mountain that have 4 wheel drive tractors. "The Hill-Billy Highway Brigade"...... ;D
