Our sincere condolences to you on your loss.   Hard to lose anyone, but, to me, a mother.   My mom has been gone almost 18 yrs--the 27th of this month--and I miss her daily.   Read a post on FB this morning to the effect you never stop grieving, you just more accustomed to it, or learn to accept it.    Think that fits, IMHO.

So sorry for this loss. My mom was in hospice earlier this year as well and passed in May. 
 I still find myself reaching for my phone to call mom on the way home from work sometimes. Moms are so special to us.
I truly wish you and your family the best in this difficult time.
