Title: Adding a smiley
Post by: Roget on May 26, 2016, 05:38:06 PM
This is not about pictures but I thought this would be the proper place to ask this question.
How do you add a smiley to a post? I have tried to figure it out on my own, but to no avail.
I know it is probably something very simple, but it just won't come to me.
To add a smiley on another forum I am on I just click on it, but this one I don't get.
Thanks in advance.

Roget I found after I went to Win 10 I could not get the smiley faces to work. I ran this by Tee and he said they would look into it. I still can't get them to work. I use semi colon ) and that works :) Don

I have Windows 10 and when I click on the smileys I don't see the faces, only colons, etc until I preview the post, then they show up.

I don't know what is different in my Win 10, which is up to date. I still can't get the smileys to work, I tried everything, if I right click I get a pop up that supposedly lets you copy and paste but that doesn't work either. So from now on all you get from me is the standard smiley; if I am mad you will probably sense it!!! :) Don

I have WinXP on one machine and Win 7 on another and that's exactly how it works for me too.  I don't see the actual smiley until I "Preview" or "Post".

Works the same for me in Win 7.

I use windows 10, and when I click a smiley nothing happens at all.
Then when I preview it, No smiley.
It is surprising that the same operating system can give different results.
