Title: Pecan splits On 1050 Masterbuilt
Post by: rexster314 on July 13, 2020, 10:35:31 AM
Loaded the hopper up with 6" splits of pecan wood for a brisket smoke today on the 1050. I use a Fireboard controller instead of the factory one. I also have installed an after market fan with 157 cfm instead of the stock fan of 107 cfm. Target temp of 225 was reached in 10 minutes, ambient temp was 70 degrees.

I have a 560, interested in how this works out. Did you just use wood only? Also do you have a link to the fan you used?

So you can use actual wood chunks instead of charcoal briquettes?  turning it into a stickburner?
