Title: Scotched eggs in and SRG
Post by: TMB on November 30, 2011, 09:06:12 AM
For Easter I made some scotched eggs for the family. Muebe had made some on the sizzle site and I just had to try them

Good stuff according to the family

I will have to find the recipe we got from our buddies Dot and Colin from Edinburgh Scotland and share it. The eat it for dinner over there as their sausage is different than ours, more like a Sweet Italian sausage. They will slice it and serve it in a salad

It is also served as an appetizer/snack in bars and pubs there. They are great with the English HP (House Of Parliment) sauce which is sort of a cross between Heinz 57 and A1. I have had these in Scotland, England, Canada and a few Scottish festivals in the states.

I need to get off my rear end and do some and "fry" some in TBE and also deep fry some and see how they compare.

twopockets..I bet the TBE ones are best..I'm thinking frying would be too greasy and TBE would be perfect. I made mine on the grill2go and they were excellent if I say so myself. I like the greasy out of the sausage when it cooks tho.  Let us know how they turn out.  Are they done yet?  LOL  j/k.  Pammie ★*˚°。°

HUM-DINGER!!!! Those are soooo good!

But - do not stand around the SRG and eat them while cooking dinner.....Brings a whole new meaning to "Now we're cookin' with gas..." ;) :o
