My wife got some peppered chicken breast from the deli of a local grocery store. She said it had pepper throughout it when she sliced it.. Now she wants me to duplicate it. How do they get the pepper throughout the meat? Is it reconstituted or what? She also said it was "all natural". So, what are y'all's ideas or tips on how to please Carole...other than me leaving or hitting the lottery? ;). Dee

Dee they feed the chicken massive amounts of pepper before slaughter 8)
Maybe Rummm will know :-\

Smells like a turkey formed product or what Muebe said. They would seem to be the only two choices.

Here is a pretty cool video but it won't help you make deli chicken :) Its from the sixties and a half hour long. Typewriters and dial phones, the good ole days when we had pen pals instead of forums, I like the forums though :)

Somebody, somewhere ate some Hormel product with portions of a straw hat in there because the daddy went in with a hat and came out without it. :).
I guess I'm gonna have to take a close look at that breast of peppered chicken and see if it ain't reconstitued.

When the video showed the cow skins being worked it reminded me of when I was in a rendering plant near here.
The stink almost brought me to my knees. That was the toughest job I have ever seen.

Back when I was in the cleaning business, my company cleaned some of those processing plants - chicken, turkey, beef, pork, and a tanning factory. I have to say as bad as the jobs may have been in the plants, the cleaning was even worse. I hated my periodic inspection visits... yikes ??? ??? ???
