Post by: mikecorn.1 on July 05, 2013, 06:06:20 PM
Just some wings for a quick post. Cause we all need visual stimuli ;) ;D 8)
Seasoned with Head Country and then painted with Sweet Baby Rays

First time since I got the SRG back in 2011 that I've made wings on the grill top. I have always done them in the rack and in the chamber. Think I like to them this way better. I can sauce them a whole lot easier for sure.

On the SRG, lid up or down, temp setting, and how long?  I too have not cooked wings on the grate only in the basket.  They look good.

Lid down. I cook everything on high. Always cook everything to temp, meaning I don't go by time since nothing  ever takes the same amount of time. I use my thermapen to check temp. I did however turn the heat down some when I sauced them so that I wouldn't ruin the sauce by burning it.

Gotta get me one of those cameras with the "food setting" on it...

The wings look good...so close, I thought you might get sauce on the lens.

Mike, those wings look delicious...and remember I only live an hour up 288 if you ever have any leftovers to get rid of.
