This is a version of Tommys' 2 stick turkey.

Took bird,rinsed and dried.

1/2 stick butter with 1 tsp WOW,injected into bird.1/2 stick butter softened mixed with 1 tsp WOW and slathered under and on top of skin.

Bird held upright in basket with a hook thru each breast, cooked on high to 175F at breast and rested 1/2 hour in SRG with lid up,was 156 internal when removed and sliced up.Took about 45 minutes or so to cook, wasnt watching clock too well.

Butter made for a greasier bird, used to much?,flavor incredible, cant believe a bird can hold that much moisture.

Great first bird, cant wait to try a rubbed one.

Looks good, you'll love bird in the SRG. you might want to pick up a vertical chicken roaster stand somewhere, I have one that collects the grease in a bowl and I can use the lifting hook to pull the bird out of the basket when it's done.

Looking good Carl.   Did you get taste before you put it to bed?  ;)

Did you let it rest in the chamber?  Was the skin crispy?

Rested in chamber.Meat was crisp coming out mostly, but the grease/butter softened it up as it rested in to cut, think I overdid the butter. But dang its good, getting ready to plate now.

Oh boy - that looks great! I like WOW - my daughter prefers Mo Rockin' Chicken - they both make a great compound butter. That is fine looking chicken and a great plate!
