Standing Rib Roast (Prime Rib)
« Reply #-1 on: December 15, 2011, 02:55:20 PM »
Do not know about your area but the Publix here has Standing Rib Roasts (Prime Rib) on sale at $5.79 a lb. Picked up a 5 pounder Middle cut yesterday and getting ready for a cook in my TBE. Gonna rub it down with some EVOO then dust it with Sea Salt, Garlic powder, Onion Powder and White pepper. Make up some Au Jus and bake some scalloped taters and heat up some brussles sprouts and dinner will be served.

nice hunk of meat

Seasoned and coming to temp for cooking.

Ron, That thing looks so good.  So juicy.  The first one I cooked in TBE my wife said it was the best she had ever eaten.  Unfortunately, she hasn't said that about the follow on ones.  Maybe they are all of the same calibre and she just accepts that as the norm. ;)   Dee

I love Prime Rib and that looks absolutely delicious.  Those on the east coast look for The Fresh Market chain of gourmet stores.  Their beef is the very finest.  Aged Hereford beef for one.  Melt in your mouth filet's.  Never disappointed.  Phil
