Lamb chops
« Reply #-1 on: October 20, 2013, 08:48:07 PM »
Going to be cooking these on the SRG here shortly. Gonna try that mango habanero sauce on three of them to see how we like it. Mint sauce will be for dippin :) Frying up my favorite Rice A Roni and green beans as a veggie.

Habanero sauce

Mango habanero sauce was really good but to overpowering for the taste of Lamb....

Wow I love the thick cut on those chops - the habanero sauce sounds like it was not to your liking, but I enjoy the flavor (and unique heat) of those tasty orange peppers - would definitely at least try it in small amounts with lamb.  I've not been fond of lamb in the past, but in a spicy vindaloo, it is excellent.

Aaron most habanero sauces tend to mellow out when cooked.

I think they intend for these to be used more as a cooking glaze or marinade.

Did you apply it after cooking?

I put it on one side after the first flip, so only five minutes of cook time. That's how Bobby Fley did it ;)
