Tomahawk steak on the PBC
« Reply #-1 on: November 25, 2013, 09:33:38 PM »
Yesterday we fixed a huge tomahawk steak on the PBC. Started out on Saturday by marinating in overnight with some Tatonka dust, garlic salt, Montreal steak seasoning, fresh ground pepper and Cabella's Open Season all purpose.
Started it by searing both sides over hot charcoals,
Then on to the hooks and into the PBC
While the steak was cooking my wife fixed some fries on her new fryer. It's a Actifry by T-fall, uses no oil for frozen fries or 1 TBSP for fresh ones. Very healthy way to cook them.
Cooked the steak for 1 hour @ 300 till it read 138

It was cooked to perfection, time to have some dinner

Thanks for looking and have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone

So far we really like the Actifry. The wife likes that it leaves no smell in the house like using a regular deep fryer.

Wow - what a great steak! I am sure the fries were wonderful - but you can keep those and bring me more of that steak. Beautiful!
