going to a party
« Reply #-1 on: April 08, 2014, 07:17:40 PM »
when you get invited to go to parties do ppl always ask you to bring the same thing?  when ppl invite me it's always bring da ribs.  I can cook tri's, chicken, chuckies, pulled pork and abts (love abts).  nope,  bring da ribs.  fine.  mak to the rescue.  I love my mak 1 star.  it's a work of art.  a pure smoking machine.  and it's so easy to use.  I almost feel guilty.   ::)  nah.

silent movie my friends.  plz get your soda pop and popcorn on your way in the show.

20 - 25 knot winds, rain and 38°.  it's not pretty out here.  does my mak care?  nope.  it's made in Oregon.  it rains a lot up there.  I lived in Aloha for 4 years.

wife says I have to eat something and not drink for a little portion of the day.  fine!  I'm still the boss though.

I'm not sharing w/ her at all.  all mine.

Great looking ribs.  There is a reason you are asked to bring them.  I am typically asked to bring brisket, but if I am fronting the cost and the prices are out of control I will "suggest" that I bring pulled pork (I can also hold it longer and get some sleep after it is finished).  Normally I will break down and do brisket though.  I'm still trying to talk myself into the fact that I need to do brisket for a large potluck at the beginning of May.  I have a 21 pounder in my freezer that I will be cooking.

I asked my butcher what he thought a good knife was.  he gave me that one.

Sparky,
Haven't seen a rib post by the MASTER in a long while.  Of course, you'll be requested to cook what you are known for -- RIBS!!  You definitely haven't lost it.  BEAUTIFUL!!!  Missed your posts, brother.

no my friend.  I've been loving the big boy ribs.  no foil was involved in any of these cooks.  I'm liking the new way I cook ribs.  the flavor profile comes out a lot when you don't use FL.

Keep some room in your luggage when you come east for the Fall Gathering.  I'll get you a new supply of the sourwood honey, if you are interested.
