As I was reading your post I was thinking how is he going to get maple syrup to spray ???  You ain't!

I've had more frustrations with spray bottles, so now I just mop.

Pappy you can.....nuke or heat your concoction until it all blends well then spray. My dillema was caused by the large particles of rub. I wanted to put in a spice grinder but time got away from me. I agree tho, it's all mopping from here on!
