Waspy Chicken
« Reply #-1 on: July 01, 2014, 10:57:10 PM »
Wife decided we would have chicken for dinner. Seasoned with Tim's Fine swine and bovine. Been watching this wasp nest for awhile now and they did not like smoke off the Barbie. pictures tell the story. oh, I cut a frog mat to fit the SRG and it work out great on high for a hour.

Little guy was begging for some smoke reprieve ;)

The sugar in the rub is what turns it black and it sure was good, I could have pulled it 5 minutes earlier I think.

The chicken looks perfect to me. And the srg didn't mess up the frogmats?  too kewl. I thought the srg got too hot for them to be used.  Gonna rethink this one for sure. I really like my frogmats.  Pam    .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

The frog mat washed up just like new pam, I was a little worried it would turn into a bubbly mess. it was in the SRG on high 45 minutes to an hour.

I am impressed! I would think the frog mats could not survive in the SRG. This is testament to their durability!

I have grilled with mine on the Memphis at over 500F and they are still good ;)

Frog mats work good in the SRG, just don't let the mat touch the sides  ???    Don't ask how I know  ;)

Burnt or not the meat was good I bet, just the skin was dark right?
