Title: Easy Pizza Crust
Post by: LostArrow on August 25, 2014, 08:12:20 PM
I'm old , kneeding dough ain't gonna happen.
My kitchenaide 45SS is over 50 years old & still keeps going! My recipe is simple,
3 cups flour, ( either all purpose or bread )
1 & 1/3 cup warm water
1 pack yeast
2 pinch salt
1 spoon sugar
1 glug olive oil
Mix with dough hook &
Adjust with added flour till makes dough ball & mix on low speed for 10 min.
Divide , cover with damp cloth & let rise for 1 hour.
Use what you need , store remainder if ising in 2-3 days in fridge , ( 1-2 day old tastes best)
 freeze rest.

I just use my bread maker. Dump the ingredients I to it and set it in the dough setting then it does all the work. I make a bunch and freeze it for later use.

Because my pizzas are thin I can get a couple pizzas from one batch.

Thanks for posting your recipe LA.

Sounds easy enough, I wonder how it would work in a bread machine on the dough setting.

I imagine it would but the ingredient amounts might need to be reduced due to the lower capacity compared to a mixer.
