Well several of us have backyard stick burners, that use short splits that are non typical for usual fireplace splits.
Well at LA I have access to red & white oaks.
When cutting wood for firewood the guys will cut me 6- 10 in rounds , 4-10 in diameter, but won't split it for me!
Well I bought a splitting axe after research.
The Fisker's model I got is made for splitting small to medium logs.
It's short 23.5 in. Light weight only about 3 & 1/2 lbs & is the. Perfect length for putting a short round on the ground, kneeling & using both hands.
I keep in my truck & have had for 4 years!
For those of you need to split your own wood consider!
