Finally broke down and purchased a Mini and I'll be getting it on Monday. Any suggestions for my 1st cook? This is new to me on a pellet grill so as rookies go I am one.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum, Tony, from NE Ohio!
For your first cook on your new Rec Tec mini? I think chicken is a great place to start. It'll let you get a feel for how the grill operates without having to wait for a weekend for something like a pork shoulder that takes hours to cook.
Spatchcock or split the chicken in half, season it up and cook it at 350° - 400° until done (Internal Temp of 165°).

Thanks Tent,
I was thinking of chicken myself so I guess I'll go with that.
Hope you didn't get hit too bad with the storm that went through the area. Living in So Cal sure has it's advantages.
