Ham looks delicious Tom! I almost pulled the trigger a couple weeks ago at a new Sam's Club near us. I was really impressed with the build and quality of the Visions Ceramic. For some reason, maybe because it was during their grand opening week, they had several Large Big Green Eggs for sale. BGE normally, as far as I know, doesn't display in the normal retail outlets. I have seen them at the Propane gas places and swimming pool places but never in a retail outlet.

Thanks Mike! I'm not sure what you classify as normal retail outlet but a lot of the Ace Hardware stores I go to carry the BGE. The Visions quality is great, I would stay with the normal version they make one that has a separate outlet for your electric lighter which doesn't make for a good seal they also offer a gas insert which is kinda strange for a Kamado. Upside is quality and price downside is that's it's made I think in China
