Title: Griswold 273 Cornbread cast iron
Post by: Ericd304 on September 08, 2019, 09:15:04 PM
Someone locally is selling one - includes the box (though well worn, not in great shape) and the cast iron piece.  From the pictures, it looks to be brand new.  They claim it is new and want $35.

From what I can tell, it appears to be a good deal.  Any recommendations?

When I was a kid, my Mom would cook cornbread in cast iron shaped like an ear of corn.  Good memories from that Era.

If you cook a lot of corn bread, buy it and don't look back.

If your looking for a genuine Griswold, which is more collectible, then that's a fair price. If you're just looking for a cast iron cornbread stick pan, there are better priced ones out there at several places.

Go to Amazon, they have new ones from around $10. I even found new Lodge ones from around $20. I stay away from Chinese cast iron as much as I can but it is hard to find Anaerican cast iron now.
