I bought a de Buyer double boiler from Williams Sonoma a number of years ago. I saw this double boiler not long after it showed up in a Williams Sonoma when I lived in Virginia. I saw the benefits of being able to have one pot that was actually two pots-in-one for making sauces. I bought it and have been using it until about a week ago. There is a sight glass level that allows you to see the amount of water in the inner pot. Well, I managed to break the sight glass. I contacted Williams Sonoma to see if I could get a sight glass replacement. Within hours I received an email that said they were forwarding it to the supplier, a French company called de Buyer. By the next morning I received another email, this time from de Buyer. They were sorry for the trouble and they would be sending me a new double boiler from their warehouse in GA. It arrived today. Needless to say, their response to my problem went above and beyond my expectations. I wish more people acted as they did. BRAVO to both Williams Sonoma and de Buyer. I will continue to shop them both.
