New guy from Pittsburgh
« Reply #-1 on: December 07, 2014, 11:57:41 AM »
Hi all. I'm new to the smoking game and looking for tips and techniques. Just picked up a Big Easy SRG and am looking to do a fat turkey xmas eve and not screw it up. I've been deep fryin'em for years but the ridiculous price of oil along with the mess and hassle of the whole thing got me lookin in a different direction. Good bye oil & hello wood chips.
Thanks for the welcome.

Great to have you - and you will love the convenience of cooking a turkey - and a lot of other things - in your SRG. Tons of information, recipes, tips and even a crazy guy running around here that cut's them up, and adds new pieces on 'em. Has something to do with his Dad being a rocket engineer for NASA...and the similarity of shapes of the SRG....well - you get the picture.... :D :D :D Just look for a member named TMB  ;) ;D
