Food saver Professional

About six months ago I bought a food saver professional. This is my third food saver my first was a manual model that lasted about 10 years, my second was a automatic model which still works but I've never liked.
The automatic model worked fine if you use the food saver bags, never worked well with generic bags.
The automatic model also after ceiling 3 to 4 gallon bags overheated and requires a 20 minute cooling time.
Food saver professional model is simply the food saver game saver silver model without the 12 V adapter system. It was about 40% cheaper. It's supposedly also came with a larger vacuum motor .
She supposedly is good for up to 25 vacuum and seals without a resting period.
Found on sale for $112, food saver always run sales.
Well I like it, is small enough that it sits on the counter easy to pull out and use. I've never used to seal 25 bags, but  it'll seal 6 to 8 bags without a problem.
Works great with the generic bags.
Of course I love a chamber vacuum sealer, I have a friend who has one. However it's such a bother to get out he only uses it for really big jobs and ended up buying a smaller food saver like sealer to supplement it.

Only issue I have with my Food Saver is some of the bags will loose their seal :(  not sure why but I do seal top and bottom twice to help reduce this

I use Food Saver bags and nothing else

After having multiple food saver brand sealers I stepped up to a vac master VP112 vac chamber sealer. It's heavy and anything but portable but it works like a treat. Had to dedicate a spot on the counter for it because it's too cumbersome to move around but I love it! I always had to let the foodsaver brand cool down after 6 or so packages, this thing just works and works. I'd never go back. Bags are WAY cheaper as well

I experienced the same issues with Food Saver bags.  Since I started using the Weston bags, I have had zero problems.  I still double seal all my bags.  Since I buy them in larger quantities I not only don't have to but them very often, but the unit cost is reasonable. I use quart and gallon size bags.

Once you are on Weston's email list they send you periodic coupons for discounting the bags.  Hope this helps.

Same here! And - I use the bags on a Cabela's CG-15 ( made by Weston ) and the same Food Saver that Lost Arrow has.

I got this one for Christmas.  I had no problems with it until I started using generic bags.  Back to FoodSaver brand for me.

Here's the kicker.
If it's not easily accessible you don't use it!
Since I got a model my wife will let me keep counter top I used intermitantly .
The present one on the countertop I use several times weekly

I bought a VacMaster Pro260 about a year and a half ago. Not one issue, and has sealed anything thrown it's way including generic bags/rolls etc. Whenever this wears out it will be replaced with another VacMaster!
