I know that y'all are gonna laugh, but I like what I got. It came from Academic Sports, cost me $159 on sale, and it is supposed to be a Traeger clone but it's size and electronics are completely different from any Traeger. Since it had been discontinued, I searched every Academy store in America and the last grill was located in Baton Rouge, LA where I bought it. I had one located in College Station, TX but TXpops (Mike) beat me to it and bought it before I could get there. The brand is Outdoor Gourmet. First thing I did when I got it was to junk the Chinese electronics and install an Auberins PID (with help from muebe) for about 50 bucks. It now keeps its temperature within plus or minus 3 degrees and just keeps on going from low smoke mode to screaming at 525. It is great on pellet consumption and will go all night without supervision. It also works pretty good at grilling a steak with GrillGrates without having to take it apart to get the high heat. I've cooked a few times on a RecTec, and watched others cook on Memphis, Mak, GMG, and Traeger and I still prefer my cheap pellet pooper.
