Game Hens with Salted Potatoes and Cob
« Reply #-1 on: September 24, 2015, 08:30:22 PM »
For dinner tonight I brined a couple of Game Hens in Oakridge BBQ Game Changer.  I let them brine for about 6
hours.  The potatoes were rubbed with olive oil and a generous amount of kosher salt. They were the put into
a small aluminum pan which had a bed of kosher salt, covered and put onto the grill.  I let them go for about an
hour, then removed them from the pan and added the game hens. Game hens were seasoned with garlic pepper.
Cob was covered with several pats of butter and wrapped in foil.  I am burning KBB in the Weber Performer using
the Slow n Sear.  Cooking at 325 to 350.  Our dinner is just about done.

Dinner is done and I will let the game hens rest for about 15 minutes.

Here’s your plate!

Simply delicious dinner!

Great cook ! ! !

I do something similar for (believe it or not) Thanksgiving at my daughter's house down in Fla.  The biggest difference is that I microwave the taters, then butter them up, salt them, and finish them on the grill.
