I'm sayin' goodbye folks

Tending to the offset smoker was getting the best of me...so...I let it go

It left a big hole in my cook shed - may have to look for something to fill it in.
Just sayin'

Time marches on.  Years ago I finally sold my Yoder offset.  It was a great cooker but very high maintenance by current standards.  Now with electronic controls for pellet, charcoal and stick burners there's really no reason to stay up all night.

As a staunch burner of sticks, it saddens me to see it go...…..but I completely understand your decision.

I do pick my spots when to use an offset......and when I do I find it to be a great cooking experience...…….

Sad Sad Sad...  I remember getting in trouble for opening the lid to "peek" and see if there was extra room in it...   :o ::)
That smoker helped Jack get interested in Aaron Franklin which in turn got me interested. That helped me use my tank grill much more effectively than I had been...
