Another job off the list to keep Kimmie happy!
« Reply #-1 on: June 21, 2013, 11:59:37 PM »
I have been working my rear end off all week trying to get things done around the house before knee surgery and to keep Kimmie happy!

So I have built her a gate, repaired the door for the garage, cooked 8 butts for church and will do 4 more on Saturday.  We have also cut the lawn, sprayed for ants and sprayed Round-Up all over the farm.

Now this has beed my lastest project, re-finishing our deck.   It's not all the way done yet but getting there!

I'm using the Deck Re-finishing by Bear paint co.  Works very well

Here it is all done!  Kimmie is happy and I got to cook the last of 24 butts for church while I was doing the work on the deck!

The stuff works pretty good, it does fill in cracks well but if they are 19 years old and never been worked on like this deck was then it takes 3 coats not 2.  But hey for a 19 year old deck it looks rather good I'd say

Hey Tommy,

Thanks for the tip. My deck needs some help and this looks like a good option. I will check it out.

Good luck with your surgery. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

As Dee and the rest can tell you, I have to re-finish our deck this summer.  Please give me some of the details of this stuff you used.  does it fill in cracks and nail holes?  Does it form a pretty solid base that is textured.

# 1 question is...Is it easy to apply?

lemme know

Tommy, great job. I think that you need to be the host on a DIY Network show. You can stand out in front of Home Depot and ask all the people that walk by if they will take you home to make their deck look like new. I don't think that Ahmad guy can do a deck as pretty as yours.
