Spent the weekend on the deck
« Reply #-1 on: July 22, 2013, 03:22:46 PM »
Had to try out the new grillgrates with a couple nice ribeyes.  I could not believe how fast these 1 12-inch steaks cooked...good thing I had my new faster than light white Thermapen to keep an eye on them with.   I also smoked in the Bradley a 12-pound brisket..gave it a rub with Jan's Rub..wrapped and in fridge overnight...then mustard slather another layer of rub...also injected with LEM'S Garlic & Herb. A 21 hour cook with 4 hours of Mesquite and Oak. Made some ABT's with chopped pork and half with SP and half with Fine Swine & Bovine...both good. Spices were late Father's Day gift from my Daughter. Hope it is ok to post on family forum.

I was thinking the same thing.  have 3 or 4 jalapenos ready to be picked.  Just waiting for the right meal to cook them with.

very nice.  what on the inside of the abt's?

The ABT's had cream cheese, chopped smoked port butt and bacon.  I seasoned half with Super Pig and half with Fine Swine and Bovine...they went so fast I almost did not get a picture..ha
