Going PINK....
« Reply #-1 on: September 08, 2013, 11:56:10 AM »
Sorry I haven't been on much lately...life's just been busy.

I needed to get a new pop up canopy for competitions and while researching them, I found 10x20 ez up with walls and window walls. I thought this was perfect. After much deep thinking I have decided to order this one.....

My plan is to have anyone who has survived Breast Cancer; has lost someone to Breast Cancer; to sign the canopy anywhere they want.

I also ordered 3 breast cancer awareness flags to fly over the canopy and the flag pole to fly them on.

I will post a pic of the set up once it's done. Even though breast cancer has not directly affected my family, I know the chances are it will. I also know that there are many who have been affected; I guess this is just my little way of showing support and hopefully raising awareness. I sincerely hope some good will come from it.

What a great idea. Good for you! I wish I could be there to sign it. While my family has been spared from breast cancer, I did lose my mom to Leukemia. You are doing a very good thing.

My mom was diagnosed, and successfully treated thank God, not too long ago.  This is more heartwarming than I can put into words ...

Muebe and UWFSAE.... if you will PM or post their names to me...it would be an honor to make them the first names on the canopy. It may be proxy..but to honor them and yourselves, I would love to do this. This goes for anyone on here.

Beautiful.  My wife, Carole, had  a masectomy  in '84 as a result of breast cancer and she is still cancer free today.  Dee

Marcia is a 20-year breast cancer survivor.

A woman dies of breast cancer every 69 seconds.  The cure seems fairly urgent to me.

Commendable idea.  I recently lost my brother to cancer - he was only 52.  No one left in my nuclear family except me - cancer is a devastating disease both to the victim and their family.

Thank you, Dan...what a thoughtful way of showing your support AND raising awareness!

One of my sisters had a mastectomy 5 years ago and her last check-up was clear...Praise God!
Her husband is undergoing treatment now for a rare type of lymphoma and we are all praying for his recovery.
