The little digital thingy is a timer. I think if I can get a turkey in there I wont need to grab a WSM. I know I can do briskets and butts and got an idea for rib capacity. If I can get a big Tom in there I am finally set.

The search for the obscure gem of a grill has ended. I am gonna run with the big dogs....

Great choice, Smoke. You're gonna love it! I have always said if I could only have one grill/smoker it would be a Weber Kettle, one of the most versatile grills ever made IMHO.  Some folks may not be aware that the kettle, itself, carries a ten-year warranty.

No problem! This was a 13 pounder spatchcocked on my old Weber Kettle setup for indirect cooking with coals over on one side.




If you want additional cooking area, grab one of these: Hasty Bake - Small Grill Extender
Don't get the large extender it doesn't fit properly.

It's not full grate size, but it's inexpensive and does add second shelf for more room.

Very impressive being able to do a split tom. Thanks for showing me that. I went to the smokenator site and got a hovearound grill on clearance for 8 bucks to hold more ribs. The WSM or another off-set will be down the road. The Performer might just handle all my smoking needs.......we shall see..now to start chopping up my mini-splits into chunks......

I figured for extra rib capacity. I was thinking of a WSM for ribs and turkeys but I think from some of the pics I have gotten, this Performer might handle all my cooking needs...........

I really like the looks of that Weber.  If I didn't have 2 charcoal grills already, I would like to cook with one...I have 7 cookers now and can't make myself add ONE MORE. If I did, this would probably be the ONE.
